Alewife Options: On Tuesday night, 9/25, at 7 p.m., the Belmont selectmen are hosting a program to consider alternatives to development at Alewife. A number of regional organizations with expertise in saving land are invited. We hope to hear about promising alternatives to the 250,000-square-foot office/lab building proposed for the site. The place is Belmont Town Hall, on the second floor -- either the selectmen's meeting room or down the hall in the auditorium.
