Notice of Start of Utility Trench Release Abatement
Measure (RAM) Activities

Dear Ms. Donahue:
This letter is to inform you of W.R. Grace's intention to begin Release Abatement Measure (RAM) activities associated with the excavation of a utility trench at the W.R. Grace site (RTN 3-0277). At this time, soil-disturbing activities are scheduled to begin on 9 June 2001. A RAM Plan/ASMP, prepared in accordance with 310 CMR 40.0444 and in accordance with the City of Cambridge Asbestos Protection Ordinance was submitted to the DEP and the City on 7 May 2001.
This notice is intended to satisfy the public notification requirements set forth in the RAM Plan/ASMP and the Airborne Asbestos Management and Monitoring Plan (AAMMP) dated April 2001. A copy of this letter has been placed in four of the five repositories. At this time, we are unable to place the letter in the fifth repository, as the North Cambridge Library is currently closed for renovation.
