Grace meeting - December 16, 2004

1. Provide an overview of site activities since the last public meeting in June 1999.
2. Explain the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP) process and the Role of the LSP, as applicable to the W.R. Grace site.
3. Review the MCP closure strategy for the W.R. Grace Site, for both oil and hazardous materials (OHM) and asbestos.
4. Present the Class A-3 Response Action Outcome (RAO) Statement and Activity and Use Limitation (AUL) to be submitted for the Site.

A Public Comment Draft of the RAO document will be made available for public review on or before 3 December 2004. In accordance with the public involvement plan (PIP) for the Site, the public comment period for the RAO will run for 20 days from the date the document is available for review. A second notice informing you of the availability of the Report will also be provided when the report is placed into the Public Repositories.

A public meeting has been scheduled to occur at least 13 days following the placement of the Public Comment documents in the repositories. This will allow all parties to have a chance to be informed about the closure process and the restrictions that will apply to future activities at the Site prior to the meeting.
