Main Agenda:

Joe Sent Me - The Proprietor of 'Joe Sent Me' restaurant will present his plan for adding entertainment to his license. (8:00 - 9:00PM)

Dear Harvey Streeters and Jacksonites,

Sorry for this unavoidably last-minute notice:

Cornerstone Cohousing will be presenting their zoning variance requests to the Stabilization Committee tonight (Wednesday), 8:30 pm, at 45 Yerxa Road.

Architecural drawings for the proposed Jackson Street parking lot will be shared and neighbors can ask questions, make comments, and raise concerns in advance of tomorrow night's public hearing at the Board of Zoning Appeal.

Since this matter was not scheduled as a main agenda item, tonight's NCSC meeting will not include a formal vote on whether to support or to oppose the requested zoning waivers.

Hope you can attend (the meeting starts at 7:00).

Action Summary for Meeting of August 23, 2000.

1. The Committee voted unanimously to request that the City redo the planning process for the VFW Hall building. It was generally felt that the city did not engage the entire neighborhood in a credible planning process and in particular it was observed that the city planners did not consider any alternative proposal for building other than the concept that was originally decided upon by city planners. Craig Kelley volunteered to draft and help to circulate a petition.

2. The Committee voted to urge the City Council to support the recommendation of the Historical Commission to landmark the Cedar Square Hotel Building.

3. Arthur Weitzman updated the Committee about noise and lighting problems at Danehy Field.
